The Journey | Philosophy | Our Approach
Medina — I am Cuban-born artist with a lifelong passion for oil painting and visual storytelling. My journey began in the vibrant city of Matanzas, where I was fortunate to study at the “Wilfredo Lam” Professional Academy of Arts. Since graduating in 1986, I’ve spent over three decades creating, experimenting, and expressing life through paint — as a muralist, ceramist, and fine artist.
Art has always been more than a profession for me — it’s my way of connecting deeply with the world around me. My style is a fusion of realism, impressionism, and expressionism, rich with color, movement, and emotion. Every piece I create is an invitation: to pause, to feel, and to experience a moment through my eyes.
Alongside my work as an artist, I find great joy in teaching. I offer personalized oil painting classes for students at every level, combining classic techniques with an open, modern approach. Whether you’re just beginning or refining your skills, I tailor each class to help you build confidence, master the craft, and explore your own artistic voice.
I live and paint with my wonderful wife — also an artist — and together we celebrate creativity every day. It brings me great joy to share what I’ve learned and to inspire others through both my work and my workshops.
